Majmoo’ al-Fataawa – Logo Design for Islamic Fataawa Compilation Series

A Light of Guidance in Knowledge

A logo designed to symbolize the enlightening nature of fatāwā—Islamic rulings rooted in Qur’an and Sunnah, with clarity and precision.

Project Overview

The client needed a distinct, symbolic logo for their project compiling the religious verdicts of Shaykh Ibn Bāz and the Permanent Committee. It had to be scholarly, trustworthy, and visually modern—appealing to students, researchers, and everyday Muslims.

What We Did

  • Designed an open-book icon to symbolize a reference work and pursuit of knowledge
  • Integrated a lightbulb with a question mark, representing clarity in answering doubts
  • Used vertical Arabic calligraphy for Majmooʿ al-Fatāwā to emphasize Islamic identity
  • Balanced the look with strong, readable English type for international reach
  • Ensured adaptability across app icons, book covers, digital media, and print

Outcome

  • Delivered a bold, symbolic identity with deep intellectual meaning
  • Increased credibility and recognition for the project
  • Established a visual tone of knowledge, reliability, and relevance
