Markaz Abdullah Ibn Al-Mubarak in South London hosts a weekly Friday sermon that serves as a spiritual anchor for the local community. The centre approached us to design a poster that would not only announce the event but also capture the welcoming, uplifting atmosphere that regular attendees experience. Our goal was to help the Markaz stand out in a crowded digital space while staying true to its identity.
The brief called for a design that would resonate with both long-term members and newcomers. We selected a sunset mosque scene to evoke a sense of tranquility and anticipation, and used clear, bold typography for essential details. This approach reflects our broader philosophy on community-centered design—making information accessible while reinforcing the values of the organization.
The poster contributed to increased attendance and positive feedback from both organizers and participants. It also sparked interest from other local masajid seeking to modernize their outreach materials. For more on effective event promotion, see our article Does Your Brand Lack Identity on Social Media?
